Government bans Tehreek-e-Taliban; drops pamphlets in Mehmand Agency
MEHMAND AGENCY: The government of Pakistan has dropped pamphlets in Mehmand Agency via Fokker planes banning Tehreek-e-Taliban. The pamphlets were printed with material that all measures and acts of Tehreek-e-Taliban were illegal and the said organization was not entitled to enforce any law in the agency. The pamphlets were dropped in areas of Lower Mehmand and its adjoining areas. Earlier, the organization has win the support of people by raising the slogans of implementing Islamic Shariah and Jihad and seized the property of innocent people, traders as well as government buildings, said in the pamphlets. It is further added that Tehreek-e-Taliban was also involved in carrying out suicide attacks and promoting terrorism in Pakistan. The said Tehreek also received funds from anti state elements and non-Muslim organization, it is added. The tribes in Bajaur, Swat and Orakzai Agency have constituted Lashkar in view of these facts and now they are ready for every kind of sacrifices in this connection.-Online
