Three deposed SC judges take oath

ISLAMABAD: Three deposed judges of the Supreme Court including Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani and Justice Syed Jamshed Ali here Friday took oath of their offices under the Constitution of Pakistan.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Abdul Hameed Dogar administered oath to deposed judges in a simple but impressive ceremony held at Ceremonial Hall of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
It was announced that they would return to their offices with immediate effect and their seniority was ensured from the date of November 2.
They would also get all the pensionary benefits as judges of the Apex Court.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the Judges of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Sardar Mohammad Aslam, other judges of IHC, Minister for Law Farooq H. Naik, Attorney General for Pakistan Sardar Latif Khosa, Officials of Ministry of Law and Justice, Law officers, advocates and advocates on records besides senior officials of the Supreme Court.-APP
