PPP govt has already proposed constitutional amendments; Farzana

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Benazir Income Support Programme Farzana Raja said the PPP government has already proposed a package of constitutional amendments on which it was holding consultations with other parliamentary groups.
Talking to a private television channel, she said, "We have not yet received the proposals but we are committed to the pledge we had made to the nation to undo all the authoritarian amendments made in the constitution." She said, she was amazed to see that a parliamentarian of the party which was the author of the 17th amendment has come forward with a constitutional remedy.-APP
