Govt not to bow before militants: Minister

ISLAMABAD: NWFP Education Minister Sardar Hussain Babak has said the government will not bow before militants and will make all possible efforts for keeping schools functional in the province.
In an interview with Voice of America, he said, "We will never bow to threats of the militants and make all possible efforts for keeping schools functional in the province".
The Minister said militants were trying to stop our children from getting education and blowing up schools. "The provincial government is not silent in this situation. I want to make it clear that no one can deprive girls of their right to education", he said.-APP
