Sheikh Rashid asks politicians to sit together to have a policy on national issues

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had asked the politicians to sit together to have a national policy on terrorism as it has spread to settled areas from unsettled areas.
Ironically, politicians have been wrongly portrayed despite being accountable to the people and media, he said while talking to a private tv channel.
Sheikh Rashid said, "so far as the issue of lack of confidence is concerned, I think that confidence generates in people due to leadership so we should review our current status regarding law and order after the emergence of new leadership".
He said that the government should also take note of the horrible consequences of rumours through mobile phones as there looks a master mind behind rumours with vested interests.
He hailed the decision of in-camera session of Parliament and said that genuine briefing can only be given to few people also. It is not possible to brief all the people as people leak information shared by them on sensitive issues, he said.-APP
