Asfandyar Wali elected Chairman Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs
ISLAMABAD: Asfandyar Wali MNA has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs in Committee's meeting held at Parliament House on Wednesday. Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, MNA proposed his name and Syed Ghulam Muhammad Shah seconded it. Secretary National Assembly, Karamat Hussain Niazi conducted the election of the Chairman. Asfandyar Wali thanked the Committee members for reposing confidence in him by electing him as Chairman of the Standing Committee. He assured them that he would come up to their expectations and with their cooperation and support he would make this Committee useful, effective and purposeful in guiding the Ministry to achieve its objectives. The committee members congratulated Asfandyar Wali on his election and assured him their cooperation. The Secretary National Assembly also congratulated the newly elected Chairman on his own behalf and the behalf of Speaker and the Deputy Speaker National Assembly. Among the members who attended the meeting are MNAs Miss Palwasha Khan, Shahbaz Bhatti, Mrs. Farah Naz Isphani, Ms. Fauzia Habib, Nauman Islam Sheikh, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Mir Amir Ali Khan Magsi, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, Ayaz Amir, Humair Hayat Khan Rokhri and Asfandywar Wali.
