Story of a missing MIT graduate II (07082008)

Dr. Aafia Siddiqui after five years has finally surfaced in the most mysterious circumstances. If the American officials are to be believed who are a bunch of liars, terrorists and war criminals who will stoop to any depth to achieve their own agenda and to protect themselves, Dr. Aafia, a frail woman in her mid thirties tried to attack US officers by snatching their gun! She was not wearing a suicide vest nor was she carrying grenades or rocket launchers but she, a scholar, unarmed tried to take on FBI and other security officials, who are all trained to kill with her bare hands snatching their gun and getting shot in the process! This is the most lame cover story that has ever been concocted.
There is no news of Dr. Aafia's children, three of them still missing. The man responsible for Dr. Aafi's plight is President General Musharraf, now retired but very much ensconced in the Army House inside GHQ. It was during his rule and under his government that Dr. Siddiqui a Pakistani citizen was kidnapped along with her three children by the foreign agencies with cooperation and connivance of the local intelligence agencies. But this will not bother the erstwhile President because for him sacrificing a few thousand innocent women and children is all in a days work, all in the line of fire (It should be rephrased in the line of the American fire, because that is what the President is really afraid of, as he does not fear God or the people).
Dr. Aafia may be a terrorist and may have committed heinous crimes but if a serial killer responsible for dozens of cold blooded murder, terrorising whole cities, states and sometimes the whole countries is granted a full trial by a jury of his/her peers with lengthy appeal procedures lasting years during which they are accorded all the human rights and treated humanly then why should Dr. Aafia against whom no crime has been proven, who has been incarcerated illegally, in violation of international laws and every conceivable human rights convention, norm and ethics, not be awarded atleast the same due process of law that even serial killers enjoy?
The actions of the US government are only fuelling more anger among the Muslims all over the world and are going to serve the interests of the militants who will get more recruits with the publicity Dr. Aafia's case is receiving because every one with a human heart feels the tragedy and injustice meted out to a highly educated woman against whom no crime has been proven. This is the acid test for the world, this is the turning point for the people who are divided by the ideology and economics, if the world turns it's eyes blind on Dr. Aafia and her children's plight then we would have entered a new era of terrorism because it will be clear to those who are at the receiving end of this injustice that it is better to be killed then to face the treatment received by likes of Dr. Aafia and her children.
