Israeli Atrocities (29122008)

Israel has carried out air strikes on Palestine , focusing on strongholds of Hammas, which was democratically elected by the people of Palestine but rejected by USA and its surrogate Israel as the legitimate representatives of the people of Palestine. The cause of latest ire of Israel is the rocket attacks by gunmen from the Hammas side on to Israeli check posts. The first day of Israeli operation took more than 200 lives and left some 700 injured. The dead and injured included women and children, most of the fatalities and casualties were of the civilian people, as is always the case with indiscriminate bombings of any human settlement.
The world reaction has been obvious. United States has blamed Hammas for breaking the ceasefire, thus putting blame squarely on Hammas. Less impartial or somewhat more neutral countries and UN have asked for immediate ceasefire by Israel, while the Arab league has done its usual agitational dance, which is all the Arabs are capable of.
The Israeli belligerence is not difficult to understand, they have already said that they will continue the attack, notwithstanding the world reaction. From Israel's point of view, United states is firmly on its side, the operation coming as it did at the time of Christmas and New Year holidays is going to be noticed less and there will be less of pressure, not that Israel cares, from the Western Christian leaders. Furthermore, the Zionist friend Bush is very much in the White House and going to stay there for almost another month. And even if Bush was not there the Zionist darling, Hilary Clinton is due to take over as the Secretary of State. Obama's record and position on the Middle East is exactly what Israel and the Zionist lobby wants it to be, so much for an independent American government and leadership.
Apparently, Israel wants to consolidate its position as much as possible ahead of any peace mission Bill Clinton embarks on in the Middle East, which will slow down Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people, thus, Israel is killing as many as she can before the lull that might follow a peace effort and weaken Hammas. Somehow, Israel has either failed to realize that killing more people only strengthens militancy and resistance or it is a deliberate policy, which seems likely, to keep the hostilities alive so friends of Israel can claim sympathies for her and raise billions of dollars from Jewish around the world, especially in USA . Because once peace is achieved in Middle East, which every Arab and Palestinian wants, Israel becomes irrelevant. No more money it will get from its sympathizers world over, nor it will get treatment of a spoiled child being spoiled further by the parents, which it gets at present from the West, especially USA.
Sadly, the rest of the world is also blind to the motivations of Israel in keeping the conflict alive at the colossal cost in human lives of tens of thousands innocent Palestinian people, at the same time keeping the whole Middle East hostage. Very seldom it has happened that such a small country has held the whole world hostage for such a long period of time, it is this policy which fuels the hatred against Israel and Jews, like of which was witnessed in the Germany of Hitler and currently spouted by Ahmadinijad of Iran. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, Israel must remember that and that it is responsible for all that is happening in its neighborhood.
